Rear Door Pockets

This has been posted before but is reappearing by special request. I had a pair of front door pockets left from a 2.3 Ghia estate. After a quick check I decided that they would fit in the rear doors, not perfect but adequate.

I offered them up, decided on position etc. then marked the position of the lower locating lugs and fixing screws, removed the door trims, cut the slots necessary for the lugs with a Stanley knife, checked the drill wouldn’t cut any wiring, put the door trim back on, drilled my two fixing holes, found suitable screws, located the pocket in the lower lugs, then the 2 screws.

In, and all done, rear door pockets. One advantage is the pockets in the seatbacks don’t need to be used and go saggy.

As you can see even, with my not inconsiderable bulk sat , they just clear the seat.
